Fantasy Facebook

So I read a Blog today about the usage of Facebook, and it has really got me thinking about how much mine and many others lives revolve around the internet. I cant imagine a day I don't tweet, update my status or upload a photo. Publishing my life to a community of people, I may or may not have met in real life. It is all too bizarre. The internet is like a place that we cant see, we image a world when we blog, tweet, Facebook, chatting to people in the same mind set. Sometimes we will offer sympathy, compliment or congratulate people over the net, that we wouldn't even wave to in real life. We forget also that we ourselves our the news. I personally update most of my life/opinions onto Facebook or twitter without a second thought to the implications it may have, forgetting completely that people can read it, focusing only on the message and to those it applies too.  Facebook really is like the celebrity world of the normal people. We watch peoples lives dramas unfold on sites, via comments images, relationship updates, in the similar way we buy magazines to find out how celebrities are spending their time. Eventually, no-ones lives will be private everyone will be home grown celebrities within their Facebook communities.
